CBD and the Immune system

Well it’s that time of the year again where the Flu season is upon us with Dark nights and winter around the corner.

Sore Throats

Did if you know that if you add CBD to Honey it can help to reduce the inflammation because not only does CBD have anti-inflammatory properties which in turn helps the white blood cells to fight off sore throats.

Another great drink which can help is Hot Lemon or Hot Honey and a few drops of CBD Oil into the cup.

SAD – Seasonal Affective Disorder

SAD is also a type of Depression that will come and go in the Darker Winter Season – more commonly known has the winter depression.

Did you know that our own endocannabinoid system (CB1 & CB2) has receptors all over the body, including the brain. These receptors help to regulate our mood swings and can be triggered by cannabinoids.

Stomach Bug

Gastroenteritis is a common stomach bug. It is normally caused by either an viral or bacterial infection and can lead to sudden vomiting, mild fever, feeling sick or even diarrhoea.

Researchers in the University of Texas conducted a study to explore the endocannabinoids in help fighting the stomach bug. They used 2 groups mice one exposed and the other unaltered, to 3three different bacterial pathogens.

They discovered that the mice were less susceptible to the infection with the increased 2-AG levels.

They concluded that Cannabis compounds or synthetic derivatives could eventually help patients kick intestinal bacterial infections without antibiotics.

There’s been a recent study in the USA to suggest that CBD could help those suffering from lung inflammation which can be a symptom of Covid-19 – https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/07/200716111623.htm

Researchers there noted that the cannabinoid appeared to reduce some acute distress syndrome (ARDS) caused by an overactive inflammatory system.

Please note that this research is in its infancy and THERE is no MHRA of FDA approved CBD TREATMENT for CORONAVIRUS.
